We have been wanting to cruise out of San Juan and finally had the chance. We stayed in Old San Juan for two nights prior and enjoyed it with all the great food and so many things to do. What a nice walking town! Embark and disembark was easy. We had a balcony on deck 9. Good space for our things and quiet area of the ship. The only negative was the last day of the cruise we woke up to the bad smell of sewage. Not sure why or what but other than that we had no problems.
We ate at Le Bistro, our favorite of the specialty restaurants on NCL. Love the french onion soup. Other times we ate mainly in the Venetian dining room and never had to wait for a table for just two. One night we ate at Aqua but never returned, it was too loud and crowded. We ate one time at the Garden buffet for lunch and was just okay. Plenty to choose from though. O'sheehan's was good for late night snacks. Chicken wings were very tasty.
Our ports each day were easy on and off. Enjoyed St Lucia and by far our favorite island.
Cabin Review
Balcony
We liked the deck location and it was quiet. Room steward was excellent. Plenty of storage for the two of us. Shower always had great water pressure. I like having the separate area for the toilet. The balcony was a little smaller than we have been use to but it was fine for two. I would book that cabin again.

San Juan
Old San Juan is so easy to get around. Good food and plenty of bars and restaurants.
Antigua
Hired a taxi driver for an island tour. Went to Shirley Heights which is a must and Nelsons dockyard, was very interesting to see and would go back. Dickinson Beach is beautiful.
Tortola
Took ferry over to Virgin Gorda to the baths. Loved every minute. Good snorkeling and the big boulders are amazing to see. We did not do a tour of Tortola itself.
Barbados
Took a taxi to Bridgetown, and as soon a we got out we were hounded by so many trying to get us to try an island tour, but at a extreme. We were in another taxi within ten minutes taking us to Carlisle Bay Beach. It was okay but have seen much nicer beaches. Next time we will plan ahead and do an island tour.
