Wanted to be with grandson for Christmas (working on the ship), but also because adult only and the all inclusive drinks arrangement and the perfect itinerary. The chance to have a taster of so many places on our bucket list was perfect and all ports (with the exception of Cochin and Columbo) were fabulous. The staff on this ship were quite outstanding in every way - we have never experienced such friendly and efficient service. Suspect that Captain Chris was instrumental in this as his style and approach is the best we have ever seen - a 'text book' manager in every respect. As always, with Marella, the show team productions were brilliant and special mention of Alex and Beth who have spectacular voices - look out West End, they're heading in your direction. All ship excursions were very good value, and although we didn't do many, they were extremely interesting and informative - one of the benefits of a good tour guide. Can particularly recommend the Mangroves and Bat Caves on Langkawi. The only downside this time were the port authorities in Cochin, so bureacratic and obstructive and the cause of many delays and problems - will never visit India again - especially having had to pay over £80 each for a visa! We really love using TUI with their end to end travel - it's very comforting to know that both your plane and boat are all co-ordinated and their efficiency is exceptional

Simply amazing way to spend Christmas

Cabin Review

Cabin 8048
Had to accept an inside cabin as that was all that was left. Extremely well fitted out with excellent storage - far bette than a regular 5* hotel room that we use. However, did miss the daylight and opportunity to look at the outside world.
