The Rotterdam is a fine way to get from Point A to Point B but that's about it. They have done away with sail-aways and the onboard entertainment and activities were below average and repetitive. A three week December Caribbean cruise with no holiday/Christmas event or regional entertainment seems cheap and unimaginative. Thankfully, we like to walk the teak deck and read. We used the well-stocked library on many occasions. Otherwise, I'd have to say that this ship has gone completely boring. The food, presentation, and service in the dining room were all fine but the Lido offerings and service were more in line with a school cafeteria. The common areas are pleasant and the onboard string quartet was enjoyable (offering a variety of music styles) and a decent choice for come-and-go evening entertainment. We would probably sail on this ship again because we now understand its onboard lifestyle but the price would have to be right!

Fine room for the price. Lots of storage, large convertible sofa. No complaints.
