My father served in Milne Bay , and Rabaul durning the war so I was very interested in these ports. We have been to Rabaul before and done the war tour. The islands and colour of the water is beautiful and just so pieceful. You have to be prepared to give donations though as that is what they expect. It is such a beautiful cruise and the captain was outstanding and his staff were lovely. We really couldn’t fault any thing. We were the first princess ship to go to Conflict Island, that is absolute beautiful and the snorkeling is the best in the world (they say) If you haven’t done this one put it on your bucket list. We really enjoyed it and could properly do it again later. We did private tours on both those ports as I wanted to go to certain places which Princess didn’t cover. A great cruise could have been longer.

Balcony

Cabin BC

It was a little small but acceptable.

Port Reviews

Alotau

It was a excellent tour and Ben the boss and tour guide was great and gave us extra time and places. He knew his history also which is what I wanted.

Kiriwina (Papua New Guinea)

Just walked around and went to scull caves and meet locals. Bought some carvings and had swim.

Conflict Islands

Went ashore and had a swim and did some snorkeling. Best snorkeling, beautiful island.

Rabaul

The tour covered a lot of places, some miles apart, roads very rough. Seem to run out of time. Didn’t have time for lunch or we would have missed boat.
