This was our first cruise and a great family vacation all in one. Total 8 adults in our group with 4 cabins. Embarkation was fast and easy, we opted for the faster to the fun upgrade. Once on board we were a little lost, not sure how to charge drinks and just trying to figure out what was Aft and what was forward! Great lunch on the lido deck and a few yummy cocktails made us feel right at home before we even got to our rooms. Our rooms were small, but that was expected, the window size was a nice surprise to me..it was bigger than I had expected! Lots of storage space and a nice desk/vanity area. Only complaint on the room was the amount of electrical outlets, only one in the guest room area and one in the bathroom. Jovana was our steward and she was awesome! So friendly, room cleaned right on time everyday, always a smile on her face and how do they remember everyone's name!! Michelle at the Alchemy Bar kept us happy with tasty drinks every night prior to dinner, it quickly became one of our fav. spots, meeting there with family each night. Our dinner time was 6pm, dinners were always fantastic, almost always in part to our server Sharon! She was the happiest person everyday, truly enjoying her job. She knew us all by name, what our favorite drinks was and for a few of us she even knew what we would order! She helped us to celebrate not only Christmas, but a birthday and an anniversay! She sang and danced along with us making each night a night to remember. I had steak every night and found out the the demi chef Michael cooking my steaks was Sharon's husband! I loved learning that and hearing how Carnival really works with married staff and keeps them together where ever their contracts may take them! Really tells you something about a company when they care about their staff that much. It was reasons like this that this cruise is def. above average! My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful couples massage while on board, I misplaced their names but it was one of the best massages's I have had! Great service, comfortable, and so passionate about what they do! Again kudos to Carnival for keeping employee's happy! We enjoyed the comedian one night, a song and dance review, and love love loved the piano bar, Jeff was amazing and fun! Loved the karaoke bar, they could really use a notebook with songs available, enjoyed all the food, great room service for breakfast. We did early disembarkation and took our own bags, got off really early but missed out on all the long lines! Only cons would be lack of power outlets, really slow internet (so not worth the $$), smoking in the casino, several public area toilets were out of service, and the pools including the adult pool seemed too dirty to use.
