As a Platinum cruiser on Carnival - I had always heard that NCL was far superior than Carnival. I I beg to differ. The dining room food was mediocre at best. The decor of the ship was very bland and dull. The cost of seeing a show of $40.00 was outrageous. The one outstanding feature of this ship was the Medical Centre. We unfortunately had to visit the Medical Centre and received excellent service - costly but we had insurance. The TV in the room had nothing to watch unless you wanted to spend $9.95 to watch a movie. There was a charge of $7.95 for room service. I’ve never had to pay for room service. And that June was also mediocre. As this cruise was during the holidays - the price for the cruise was almost double. I don’t feel that I got any value for the price of this cruise. I don’t believe I will be cruising with NCL again.
