The ship is gorgeous but it's a shame the customer service is nothing like it. Shocking.. From the moment we arrived with no information, rude staff and having to queue to find out basic information that we should have been provided with like our room number, how to get the key, map of the ship, how things work. They also failed to honor our table request and dietary requirement and as such my partner never ate for 24hours until they sorted it the next day. They couldn't even arrange for us to visit another restaurant that had gluten free options. Left us to the buffet which was not gluten free and no good for soneone with coeliac disease. We requested this when we booked. The reception staff were not helpful and very defensive and claimed we never booked it. The buffet was just terrible which I tried once and never returned. The main restaurant was okay once we sorted the gluten free saga out. The locations are falsely advertised (4hours from Florence) don't advertise this as Florence... We never went to Florence!!! Wasn't sitting on a coach for 9hrs to spend 1hr there. The ship was very busy and nothing like Cunard. It was full of loud ignorant people and that included the staff. We paid extra for the spa to escape the very busy smokey pool area but they even messed this up and put it down to staff training. Not acceptable. I complained about several things and it took 6 months and 10 letters to eventually get a refund for the errors that they accepted occurred. They tried giving is vouchers, but why would I want to return to one of their ships if they are the same. Please please do not fall for this as we were sold by the magnificent pictures.. The ship is spectacular but they just have it being operated and manged all wrong. You are a number and they do not care. Don't even get me started on the disembarkation procedure.. Wow and the nightmare getting to Cannes via the small boats 3 hours after our allocated time slot. I could go on but I won't. Try a Cunard ship as you will see how cruises should be operated. Glad this wasn't our first cruise as it would have put me off forever. Thankfully I realise its equivalent to booking a rubbish hotel and a Ryanair flight. PS the cabin was lovely and the service there was fantastic... Thought I'd end on a positive.
