We are a couple in our mid 50’s who choose this cruise as a Christmas present to ourselves. This was our 13th Princess cruise since 2008 and our 2nd time on the Royal Princess. I would rate this cruise experience a 3 to 3.5 out of 5.

THE GOOD:

Embarkation and disembarkation were fast and efficient. Probably the best we have experienced on any cruise. We left our hotel around 11:30 and were on the ship about 15 minutes after our taxi dropped us off. Leaving the ship was even faster, I don’t think we ever stopped moving until we got into a taxi to go to the airport. If you can take advantage of EZcheck, it is well worth the money. Kudos to the port staff and Princess for making this process run smoothly.

Cabin Review

Owner's Suite with Balcony

Cabin S3

Cabin was very roomy. Bedroom and living area can be separated by a heavy curtain. Bed was comfortable. Three different closet areas, a large desk, couch, two chairs, large shower and separate large bathtub. This cabin is directly across from the laundry room, but we never heard any noise. The Concierge Lounge was just down the hall and was a great perk to have. If the balcony had been bigger, we would have rated the cabin as excellent, but we would book it again if the price was right.
