Sail Date: Dec 2018
Cabin: Deluxe Veranda 2B

We booked this cruise to unwind from a busy and stressful year, and tied it in to allow us to see friends and family in NZ. The package included Classic beverage, which we upgraded to Premium before we departed, and also included some dinners and a lunch at the premium restaurants.

This was our first Celebrity cruise, having previously cruised with P&O (past that now) and Norwegian (comparable), and we have definitely decided to add them to our "will return" list with the Norwegian Jewel.

Pros - Well equipped and maintained ship; Absolutely awesome crew; Great food and drink options.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Veranda 2B

Cabin 2B

Very comfortable cabin with more than enough room for the two of us. Lots of storage space and good seating with a comfortable bed and pillows. Verandah was a good size and served us well in the Sounds. Bathroom was also a good size and the shower was excellent with good pressure and heat all day.

Port Reviews

Tauranga

Shuttle to Tauranga city requires payment. We hired a car to visit family and needed to Uber from the port to the hire car depot.

Wellington

Free shuttle to Parliament House and Te Papa. Allowed for a good walk between along Lambton Quay, which accessed the Cable Car.

Picton

Free shuttle to Picton town centre. Easy walking to shops and cafes. Two Laundromats in Picton are easy access and inexpensive.

Akaroa

Tender was straighforward and walking around Akaroa town was delightful.
