My teen daughter and I sailed the Danube with my seventy-something parents during Thanksgiving, and we all had a blast! We took most of the wonderful tours and ate most our delicious dinners together, but my daughter and I also enjoyed the e-bike side tour from Krems to Durnstein, and rode the metro in Vienna to as many Christmas Markets our feet could get us to in one evening- five in all! Our favorite town was Cesky Krumlov, with it's fairytale Castle and charming houses, and the best hot chocolate at the Kolektiv. Our favorite Christmas Markets were at Pest in Hungary, with it's mulled wine, and the large, festive Rathaus with it's ice-skating, along with the beautiful Schonbrunn Palace in Vienna. We all loved every minute of our trip, but Nana especially loved the Creme Brûlée at dinner on the ship, while Papa enjoyed studying the doors of the homes on each of our tours- especially in Bratislava. My daughter loved taking pictures of the scenic river views in Passau, and exploring each of the towns we docked at, while I especially loved collecting the Gluten mugs and handmade ornaments at the various Christkindlmarkts, We all appreciated the bottles of water in our clean rooms, and the staff that greeted us with treats and warm towels after each day's tour. The food was fabulous, the desk was helpful, and our waiters and waitresses were gracious and had a positive attitude. We had such an amazing trip, that we all signed up together to take a Viking cruise up the Rhine in 2020! Thanks for the memories, Viking!
Awesome room- always had plenty of water and clean towels! Loved waking up and watching the sunrise through the window of our French Balcony!
Awesome!
