Just returned from the best Holiday Celebration my wife and I have ever had and it probably was the best Birthday Party I've had since I was a kid. A heartfelt thank you goes out to the officers and crew of the Seven Seas Voyager for 10 wonderful days with perfect weather, outstanding dining and a warm and accommodating setting throughout.

The Voyager was everything we were expecting from Regent Seven Seas - having in the past cruised aboard Seven Seas Mariner and Explorer. It was very much appreciated that the Christmas decorations that decorated the common areas of the ship remained up and illuminated throughout the end of this New Years cruise. It extended the feeling of the cruise to encompass the feeling of both Christmas and New Years.

Being a 'Holiday Cruise' and a relatively short duration one at that, there were more than a few families cruising with children; from as young as 2-3 years to adolescence. I can't criticize Regent for selling the cabins to those families but I will scold a few of the 'Parents' for not living up to that Title. There were, too often, kids running around Compass Rose, Constellation Theater and even Prime7 and Chartreuse. Similar conduct at the Pool [Grill] or La Veranda was excusable - since that is where children are most appropriate. I'm pleased to say that some parents appeared to control their offspring and I don't recall ever seeing any kids in the Casino or Lounges.

Deluxe Suite

Cabin E

Concierge Suite 'E' 910 is portside-forward in an intimate corridor with only 11-12 other suites. Passageway traffic was nearly non-existent; the room was ultra quiet [even with two young adult sisters in 908] and our Stewardess/Assistant [Paulyn / Beba] were spot-on with every duty and request. The suite was pre-staged with our preferred liquors and wines, decorated on my Birthday and serviced routinely - always in concert with our schedules and we never felt rushed. The closet / wardrobe is very amply sized for a 10 day cruise - and with launderette facilities down the hall [quite a ways but always available] it wasn't necessary to overpack. The balcony as well as the bathroom are nice sized for 'one' or 'one and a half' persons, but fills up with two. The amount of storage [drawers / shelves] could be better - but that is always a constant desire.

Port Reviews

Miami

Although we missed the pre-cruise hotel in Coral Gables due to weather related delays/routing we did have an exceptional post-cruise stay at the Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne. Experienced Cuban Cuisine in South Beach and Spanish fare in New Havana.

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

Great guides on the bus, at the Cayman Liberty House and at the Botanical Gardens,

Belize City

The guide was 'green' and didn't know the tour. The group got separated and people were confused. The Rum was Rum!

Roatan

Not taking advantage of any arranged excursions I can say there is nothing notable to do away from the cruise port's selections of shops and bars/grills. The area outside the gate is a hawker's lair that solicit passengers who depart for all manner of products or services. Beware. There was a need to acquire medication for chest congestion and a very competent pharmacy was located by walking to the right after leaving the port and walking for 7-10 minutes. [the equivalent of the town's business district] Although they didn't carry the name brand medicine requested, they were able to research the contents of it and provide a near identical substitute.

Costa Maya

I hope you get as good a guide [Daniel] as we did. Informative, organized, eloquent and entertaining. Oh, The Mayan Ruins are very interesting too.
