We drove to Long Beach from San Francisco the day before embarkation and stayed at Hotel Current in Long Beach with a "snooze & cruise" room. Hotel Current had a gorgeous pool area, very artsy/modern rooms, and lobby & served breakfast in the morning, as well as stored our car for the 7-day cruise and shuttled us to the port, all for less than $200.00. Plus we meet fellow cruisers BEFORE the cruise even started! Hotel Current, YES!

We had Faster to the Fun so once off the hotel shuttle, our bags were taken by the baggage handlers (tipped $2.00 per bag) and placed in the priority section for baggage. We then walked to the Faster to the Fun line at the port entrance and literally were walking onto the ship in 5 to 7 minutes. That is through document processing and security. GET FTTF!

We carried on one bottle of wine and one 12 pack of soda in cans. There was just 2 of us, my 12-year-old daughter and myself. We ordered water for the room through the Carnival website and our 2 excursions prior to the cruise.

Location, Location, Location! This would just be a balcony cabin, except for the LOCATION. Literally at the heart of the ship. If you can book it, DO!

Port Reviews

Cabo San Lucas

The sea part was educational, beautiful, and so fun. The land part was MEH and way too looooooong.

Puerto Vallarta

A beautiful, active, fun day...Check out my review on the Carnival site. 5 stars. I' WILL go again.
