Winter getaway! We are in our early 60's. This was our third trip on Anthem of the Seas. Embarkation was extremely fast. Basically just checked in and walked right on the ship. We had a Balcony Room, Category 5D. On deck 9. Perfect! Our room steward was very nice. Did not see him a lot but always took care of our room in a timely manner and we were able to find him if needed (which we never needed anything major). He left his card always in our room. We had My Time Dining which worked quite well for us. We had excellent service most of the trip. Towards the second half of the cruise we asked to have the same servers in Silk Dining, Komang-Head Waiter and Simon, Asst. Waiter! We have seen all the main shows before. Not a big fan of The Gift so skipped that. Spectra's Cabaret is great as well as We Will Rock You. Absolutely loved the DSB Journey Tribute Band!! The poolside band was good to. Comedian, Al Romas, Juggler, Ivan Pecel, all excellent! Ports, San Juan we did San Juan Evening Drive Excursion. Short but nice. St. Maarten, we just walked around town and rented chairs and an umbrella. St. Johns, We did the Antigua Beach Extravaganza. Had a very nice time at this beach, lunch was fine. St. Lucia, we took a trip from locals at the pier to a beach, which included round trip transport. Had to pay extra for chairs and umbrella at beach. Nothing special but was relaxing. A little glitch with transport back to ship but they were trying doing everything they can to make it right! Barbados-Loved this island! We again took local round trip transport. We went to a place called the Boatyard and it was great! For $25 USD PP we had entrance into their beach area. This included one drink each, two chairs, umbrella, and a 40 minute boat ride, snorkel with turtles and shipwreck snorkel!! Great value for the money!!! St. Kitts Beach Break through the ship. Great time. Beautiful island.

Love the size of this ship, very easy to navigate. There were some issues with the AC but did not affect us. Disembarkation was a little slow because of a delay due to medical re-route to Bermuda the night before. However all said it was a great trip!!! Royal or Port needs to build a disembarkation area however for people to wait inside after the cruise for their transportation.

Cabin Review

Ocean View Balcony

Cabin 5D

Cabin was very nice. Needs a better hair dryer, they are not very powerful. Maybe a few more drawers. I would eliminate the lower bar in the hanging closet. Bigger safe. Room Steward Ephraim was very nice!
