Have sailed with Princess before and overall enjoyed. We live in Los Angeles and if we want to sail without traveling we only have 2 options, Just the two of us in our early 60's with out any kids. Princess and Carnival. Same company different line. Seems that Carnival is having more influence on Princess with cut backs and quality.

We had an inside cabin on deck 7 which was fine with us because we are always out on deck and we booked last minute so it was really not expensive. Without a doubt the best thing going for Princess are 3 things. The Beds are amazing for a cruise ship, Movies Under the Stars for concerts and movies throughout the day, and the International Cafe and the PIZZA!!

Staff: really sad to see that so few of the staff smiling. Our room steward had an attitude on day 2 when he left robe in our cabin that were damp and still not dry. We left them out open on the bed , but that afternoon asked him for DRY robes. He argued with us that they were dry even though they were not. Finally he took them and THREW them into his cart and said "you can call my supervisor if you want" and left. So unnecessary.
