Cabin: Celebrity Suite

We were on the Reflection in March as a couple and returned with friends. We took a Celebrity suite instead of the Sky suite that we had in March because my husband wanted to be able to watch football after I went to sleep. Since our friends were not in a suite we ate in the the main dining room for dinner every night. We didn't feel we lost much by not eating in Luminae as in March we mostly ordered off the main menu ( Luminae's offerings were often odd). We had a terrific waiter Melvyn who has been a waiter with Celebrity for 19 years. He made us feel special. Make reservations each night the night before!!!

The Reflection is a beautiful ship, spotless and elegant with, in our view the best staff at sea ( we have been on 45 cruises (Princess, RCCL, NCL, Oceania, Regent) Our suite Butler Jesus did everything he could do for us and Leslie our stateroom attendant was excellent. The Celebrity suite has several design flaws. There are only two electrical outlets in the whole suite!! We brought a surge protector as we do on every cruise and security confiscated it. They held one of our bags without telling us ( the ship had sailed) and my husband and Jesus had to scour the ship looking for it. There is a large window cut in the side of the bedroom wall letting light in from the living room lamps and TV ( it was like New Years eve). Half way through the cruise the suite manager stopped by to see how we were doing and that night a black out curtain appeared covering the window. I guess we weren't the first to complain. I would not take that suite again considering the stiff price.

Michael's Club is a great perk ( loved Alex and Alexandra) making friends at the bar, tea from 3:30-4:30 every day. I thought the specialty restaurants were over rated and not worth it. In March we loved the Lawn Club but this time we felt the food was not as good and the same with Murano.

Celebrity Suite

Cabin CS

Great location. Quiet and close to elevators. Poor design. Bathroom small for a suite. Weird metal doorstops in floor ( tripping hazard). No walk -in shower. High bathtub ledge ( hard to get out of) , Cramped balcony. Only table to eat on is outside. Not enough electrical outlets (2) Window cut in wall of bedroom so light passes through from TV and lamps. Impossible to sleep. Ask for blackout curtain. Great butler and stateroom attendant. Not worth the price.
