We chose this trip especially for the Normandy experience. Every port and excursion was fabulous. Our guides were extremely knowledgeable. The day at Normandy was very moving and memorable. Viking arranged for special access and ceremonies just for us! Viking guests were treated royally at every location. Our crew provided top notch service and it was very nice to have the same people every day. They really got to know you. The ship was spotless, food delicious, accommodations comfortable. We met so many fun and interesting passengers and made some long-term friends for future trips. We like the small ship 200 passenger experience and the majority of the passengers were in our general age group. There were no young children and this type of trip would not be appropriate for anyone under high school age. Enjoyed every aspect of the trip and highly recommend this adventure. We are planning to book another river cruise in 2020.
