Viking Ocean Cruise ships are a "thinking, well for today's society, persons cruise", in contrast to Carnival for example which is a "drinking person's cruise". That is not to say there isn't any drinking, as wine and beer are complimentary with lunch and dinner, and we purchased the "drink package". Children under a certain age are not allowed, the isn't a casino, and the "entertainment" is more "education" oriented. Other complimentary items include, all balcony cabins, a shore excursion at each port, the above mentioned beverages, use of the spa, and entry into all of the exclusive dining areas.
The staff remembers your names and preferences and in general, treats you with superior service. Always friendly and helpful.
With several days at sea the atmosphere is very relaxing and leaves you feeling renewed.

Seville
Excellent tour, well organized. Unfortunately, or fortunately if you dont like heights, heavy fog prevented a view from the observation area at the top of the hill we were driven to. Learned a lot on the way up and down.
Valencia
Happened to be there during a local celebration that seemed to bring everyone in Valencia out into the streets and local parks to see fireworks and beautiful carvings and wood statuary that we were told would be burned later that night. Very fortunate stop !
Madeira (Funchal)
Good tour, as I mentioned ours were all included so you get what you pay for. Still, it was an educational, good tour.
