We chose this cruise purely for the itinerary. MSC aren't our first choice for cruising, however most of the reviews were okay, so we booked the cruise. Check in went extremely smoothly with no queues and easy baggage drop off. Our suite was spacious and clean, though a little dated. Unfortunately our first bite to eat was from the burger bar on deck 11 which was on a slate bun and soggy chips. Further to that, dining was extremely hit and miss. We dined mostly at the dining room for breakfast and dinner and found some of the evening servings inedible and learnt to choose very carefully. All of the staff in the dining rooms and bars were fantastic and most helpful. Our dining review does not reflect in any way on the staff. Entertainment was fun and the shows were quite good. Overall we enjoyed the cruise a lot with our only issue was with the food.
