We chose this cruise for a 25th anniversary trip and a way to see more of Hawaii. We stayed in Honolulu a couple of days before the cruise to explore and the town was under alot of construction, no clean sandy beaches to be found and left alot to be desired when it came to finding quality food choices, not a burger. Emabrkation was great and smooth. The ship itself is old. We had a balcony on the 9th floor and the railing were not varnished but old and peelng with splinters. It looked like the balcony hadn't been touched in years with the railings and lack thereof any paint. Compared to other balcony rooms on various other ships this was by far the smallest. Horrible cafeteria style food, tour excursions were lacking. Overall horrible experience. Never again. It was not worth the money that it was paid for.

The shore excursions on the "on your own" day took us to an outlet mall with stateside shops. Nothing was mentioned in the description at all about this. Every other shop was either jewelry or clothes. Please explain 7 hours of that. Next tour we had a guy leading the tour that complained about his living conditions, being on unemployment, complaining that the cruise ships werent as busy, and basically blaming all on the consumer. We wanted a tour of what we were seeing, so who knows what we passed by. Hilo was great though. Great coffee shop and it shipped. Big plus. 2 nights in Maui was too much. There wasn't enought to do to justify that kind of stay. In fact I overheard the checkin security say when we got back all but about 200 passengers were already back on board. Our next tour to Kona was by far one of the best. Our guide was knowledgeable and funny and actually took time for us. The luau show was good, not great and definately not worth what was paid for it. Overall the shore excursions were repeats and overpriced.

Food. Whole new topic. Standard cafeteria fare, cold without variety. In the main dining rooms at night, what we saw on night 1 we resaw on night 3 or 4 just in a different way. Ordered NY strip medium that came out about 1/8 thick and so hard and cold it was inedible. Our server Zach was great though. The desserts had film on them from sitting out and not covered, got a totally raw hamburger on the deck one night and the tea was nasty. The shows were very ameturish with off key songs and I will give them a b for effort but that is also pushing the envelope.I have never been so glad to finish a vacation in my life. Overpriced, overhyped and recommend you forego the ship and go on your own or go on another cruise line. Been on many ships and this is absloutely the worse ever

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony

Cabin BA

Room was so small 2 people couldn't pass each other anywhere. Sheets had brown stains on them upon arrival. No washcloths, old furnitire and mattress was hard as a rock and obvious old as were the flat pillows.
