This was our first cruise in 15 years, and all of our expectations were exceeded. We derive happiness with drinking, eating and being entertained on vacations. The food was excellent (some friends we were with said the buffet was just OK, but I thought it was great for what it was). The free restaurants are all you really need too. Great food options that taste delicious. We did Cagney's one night, and it was good, but not so much better than what we got at the free restaurants. The drink package was probably my favorite part. I expected them to have a red, white and sparkling wine, but they actually had multiple types of each wine with legit brand names to boot (Chateau St Michelle, Hogue, etc). The liquor was also decent. Our entire group of 8 (drinkers) were all extremely satisfied with the options. We went to "burn the floor" and "million dollar quartet" which were free, and excellent shows. We paid for the wine lovers show, and enjoyed it, but overall it was not as much fun as the other two free shows. The customer service was probably my favorite thing of all. Every staff member I spoke to seemed to genuinely want to help (some quieter than others, but we never received slow or negative service).

The stops were OK. All of the stops featured a ton of vendors trying to sell you on the same thing. I enjoyed Costa Maya the most because of our excursion (Chachoben ruin tour). It lasted many hours, and was interesting. I recommend booking this excursion online by googling the title of the excursion from the NCL site. We got our tour for half the price NCL was charging.

The only draw back was that the bed was not very comfortable, but it was not bad by any means.

The bed was large and relatively comfortable (could be better, but really not that bad). The shower was nice, but compact. Every little bit of space was used efficiently.

Port Reviews

Harvest Caye

Clean and well organized Norwegian island. The only complaint I have is that it just felt like a commercialized island rather than Belize. Also, the whole thing seemed like a money grab. You had to pay for everything and it was all expensive.
