This was a value for money proposition and we were not disappointed in the slightest.
Booked our cruise through Sunwing from Toronto, and paid the extra $60 for the premium package. Well worth it, especially if you travel often: priority check-in and boarding at both Pearson and Sangster, advance choice of seats, and a $5o future travel certificate.
As only one of us really drinks alcohol, the drinks packages on other lines have never been worth it to us. But on the D2, beyond the booze, we were able to enjoy great espresso, cappuccino, and fancy mocktails galore. The all-inclusive drinks package was perfect for us, great beer selection (Peroni, Corona, Guinness etc), Cosmos, Raspberry Collins, Harvey Wallbangers, Stolichnaya vodka, Tanqueray gin...nice enough wines with supper.
Cabin Review
Ideal location, esp for getting on and off ship. Excellent stewards, Reginold and Marije. So much storage we actually left a couple of drawers empty! Very little ocean motion.
Given the size of the ship we couldn't justify any need for a private balcony. We were right. Never had an issue finding a nice spot outside. *verandah*
