Last year we cruised the Jade on a revised itinerary due to the hurricane in the Eastern Caribbean. For some reason it was the only time on an NCL ship we felt things were lackluster. Not this year! From the crew to the food, to the overall atmosphere it was perfect.

We flew into Miami two days before and stayed at the Marriott Biscayne Bay. We always get the same type of room with a view of the cruise port as it is fun to wake up in the morning and see which ships are in port. We spent our time just relaxing and also walking along the waterfront. It is only a ten minute trip from the hotel to the cruise port. We took a taxi embarkation day from in front of the hotel. The fare was under $20 total plus tip.

Embarkation was fast. We were in the Haven and they have a lounge in the Miami terminal with coffee, tea, pastries, and sandwiches to eat while you wait.
