The ship and the itinerary were just what my wife and I wanted. We arrived a day early so we could poke around the shops/restaurants in Long Beach. Transfer to the ship was very easy. Our cabin was midship in case of stormy weather. We had a balcony and we spent quite a bit of time there watching the sea. Princess has equipped the rooms with new beds which slept very well. The ship has just returned to service after "freshening up" . Everything looked virtually new.

Our first night out, we had dinner in the dining room and frankly, the food was mediocre and the service poor. Both the food plus the table service got better.

We elected to visit some of the Premium dining and those were of very high quality.(I had a great Ribeye)

Princess could be doing more with the tv entertainment in the staterooms. There is a quick review of the excursions but has NO sound. Princess could use the tv entertainment to educate and sell the shore excursions. (audio with the sound of a Mariachi Band would be great) There was entertainment and news but is was sparse and could be expanded.
