We had a great time. Pickup from the airport was easy, pre-cruise hotel check-in was a slight hassle, but that was the Hilton Hawaiian Village’s layout more than anything. Embarkation was a breeze. The rooms were finished by 3pm. I wish the bags came a little faster so there wasn’t a rush to get dressed before dinner. They’re guaranteed before 7pm but we can make dinner reservations for 5. The service was great from everyone we came across and by the end of the week the entire wait and steward staff knew my name and my wife’s name. We stayed in an inside cabin which was comfortable. The room steward checked on us multiple times a day and was friendly as could be. We didn’t use NCL excursions but went through Expedia Excursions instead. Those were good with the exception of the Luau they hosted at the Marriot. I wish we wouldn’t just gone to the NCL Luau instead. My only complaint I can fault NCL with is one bad night of service at Cagney’s Steakhouse. The food there was fantastic but the service was awful for a specialty restaurant. We couldn’t get refills on water for the life of us, had three different waiters, no offers for more wine, and completely forgot about our complimentary dessert NCL provided for our occasion.
Comfortable. Smaller than expected. Clean. On the flip side I’m pretty tall. My wife, who is shorter and petite had no issues with the room size at all.
