I chose this cruise because I don't have to fly and can use that money to upgrade the room. The cabin 1804 had the best view I've ever had on a ship. Look at the bridge cam and that's the view this room has! We-both in our 60's have been on 20+ cruises with various lines so we either go for the ports or the ship. We've been on Liberty before and done all the ports our of Galveston so we go to have an enjoyable week of warm sunny weather and good food. This trip gave us both.

The ship is 12 years old, but still looks good and has a smaller feel than the larger ships, but you'll still wait for an elevator. Our cabin was booked as an ocean view panoramic view suite which was later reclassified as a full suite so we were happy to get a gold card and all the suite perks. I had looked at pictures of the room on line to see how big it was and if the view was really worth the money. I was not disappointed in the view, the size of the room or all the closet space-more than we needed. The only disadvantages were it didn't have a tub, instead it had a full bathroom with a shower and a small 1/2 bath; when the ship was moving fast the bed vibrated and the rotating TV box rattled. We put a washcloth between the top axle ceiling mount and the TV box mount to quiet it and it was not close to anything so we walked a lot to get to meals, shows, bars etc.

We loved going to the suite lounge- Anis is great and always had useful information. We'd go there after breakfast for better coffee and later after dinner for a drink.Happy hour was 4:30-8 pm, but it never seemed crowded. We went to the suite/pinnacle reception and the top tier reception -all enjoyable.

Cabin Review

Cabin OV panoramic suite

This was a fantastic cabin with a view you have to see to believe. It has 6 large floor to ceiling windows across the front of the cabin that overlook the bow of the ship on deck 12. It was like looking at the bridge cam all day. It had a shower but no tub in one bathroom and a 1/2 bath across from it. One small room with bunk beds was next to the bath room, a sofa bed was on the right side of the room and a queen bed on the left next to the windows separated by a rotating TV. It had a small desk, fridge, safe, 2 closets, 2 chairs and a small table. The only things I didn't like were how much the bed vibrated and the TV rattled when the ship was moving fast. It's also not close to anything. Another good thing about this room is now it's classified as a full suite. This change doesn't show up on the RCCL website yet.

Port Reviews

Galveston

This is a fun port with lots of historical things to see and good restaurants.

Roatan

Roatan doesn't have much to offer if you don't do an excursion, except shop.

Belize City

We like Belize even if we have to tender in. We like the shops.

Cozumel

We've been here many times and basically just go to shop.
