We were looking for a honeymoon cruise that we could drive to and still have warm weather. Since we live in Southern California, the Mexican Riviera fit the bill. Boarding was a breeze. We parked across the street from the ship and were on board in no time. Check -in was efficient and stress-free.

The Ruby was recently updated and it showed. The ship was immaculate and looked very modern despite her age. Kind of like me. The ship's layout was typical however we still found ourselves on the wrong end of the ship from where we wanted to be. No big deal. It made for more excercise.

Our balcony cabin was spotless and functional. The only complaint was the unusually small shower with a curtain rather than a door. The bed was comfortable and the "congratulations " sign with balloons on our cabin door was a nice touch.
