Traveled with children

We took our four kids on the Independence of the Seas. I am 38, my husband is 46 and our kids are 8,9, 11 and 17. All girls except the 9 year old is a boy.

This ship is absolutely perfect for kids of all ages. You have to like people though, lots of them, all around you all the time. But, there is plenty of space to meander throughout the ship, and a great work out area, bigger than some land exercise facilities I've seen.

I got a massage the first day and used our gold member coupon booklet to receive an additional discount on top of the discount the ship provides if you book a spa appointment the first day on the ship. The massage was wonderful. I think it was around $135 and then I tipped generously because I really liked her.

Cabin Review

Cabin Bal

We had a balcony with two rooms across the hallway for the kids. The rooms were excellent. Large and beautiful. We loved the balcony. Comfortable beds, storage everywhere, just perfect.

We were in rooms 8530, 8529 & 8531.
