We choose this cruise as our friends and neighbors had booked it and we wanted to go on the Symphony as the largest and newest cruise ship in the fleet. Overall it was a very pleasant experience and we enjoyed ourselves and had a lot of fun.

We had booked the ultimate dining package and visited all the restaurants on board: Wonderland, 150 Central Park, Chops Grille, Izumi and Jamie's where great. The Hooked was good too, but not as good as the others. The food was excellent, service outstanding and overall experience what we hoped for.

To the negatives:

Cabin Review

Central Park View Balcony

Cabin was nice and spacious, stateroom attended was very helpful. We like the night light in the bathroom. In the past we brought our own, but now it is there. The bathroom and shower seemed a little bigger.

We had requested some room changes, like separate beds and softer mattress (they usually accommodate this with foam mats or comforters. Unfortunately the request from the telephone hotline didn't reach the attended. Once he knew he fixed it immediately.

Port Reviews

Cozumel

We took a taxi with friends downtown for shopping and lunch. The port and the city are crowded with shops and (naturally) everybody wants to sell you something. Not my favorite port.

Nassau

We took a taxi with friends to the Atlantis and strolled through the hotel and the aquarium. Yes there is a fee for it, but for us it was good. Unfortunately the box office was crowed and it took forever to get our tickets. Even for walking the aquarium you had to sign a waiver. The rest of the day we spend downtown which is just a block away from the cruise port. Very nice, good shops and not as intrusive as Cozumel.
