We were interested in returning to Paris and visiting the Normandy coast. We booked the pre-extension in Paris and found the tours offered were what we were looking for. The Viking representative in the hotel couldn't have been more helpful. We have taken other Viking River Cruises and never been disappointed. The food is great as is the service. The staff are very friendly and activities and entertainment on board are good. The cabin, though small, is efficiently arranged and very little time is spent in the cabin. There are lovely lounges on the ship. The top deck provides a way to get some exercise as well as lovely views of the surrounding country side. Our trip to the Normandy coast was very educational as well as moving. Because of a celebration at the American cemetery, we did not have enough time to go through the museum on site, which we regret. The port stops and excursions at each port were excellent.
