Sail Date: Feb 2019
Cabin: Balcony Stateroom

This was our second voyage on the Divina and our fourth MSC voyage so we knew what to expect. Unfortunately a number of minor issues, none of which would be a reason to forgo a trip, added up to a less-then-perfect cruise.

Let me expand. The bathroom lighting was poor, the cabin drawers are short, the captions on the TV ( a very small Samsung located in an awkward corner) did not work, the excursions listed on the interactive system had dates from a month before, the Daily Planner listed items that were flat-out wrong or did not exist, and there was little or no help from the excursion staff if you wanted to tour on your own.

In addition, the excursion descriptions would mention food or drinks that turned out not to be, a partition door on our deck was broken and banged all night (they did repair it when we asked), and our safe batteries were dead when we entered the cabin.

Cabin Review

Balcony Stateroom

Cabin B2

A standard balcony cabin with a tiny bathroom. The huge mirror makes the room seem bigger and provides visions of yourself in the bed. TV is sub-standard compared to competing vessels. Please note, the Divina's design includes some balcony cabins that do not have glass railings. This restricts your vision from the cabin. Instead there is a solid metal portion to the level of the railing.

Port Reviews

Cartagena (Colombia)

We booked a tour right at the pier for considerably less then the cruise-line charges. Saw the Old City and a few other sights in what is a major city. Note: The cruise pier is about a 2 mile ride to the Old City and is really not walkable. Taxis are available though.

Best part is the aviary (free!) at the cruise terminal.
