Our cruise started with a 6 day escorted tour of Cambodia followed by a night in Singapore so we were ready for some relaxation. We arrived at the dock and our cases were offloaded by Princess staff, no queues, and we went straight through to the desks, again no queues, and were on board within 10 minutes. When we arrived at our cabin (balcony, Baja deck)our suitcases were already waiting, so we had a quick look around and went for something to eat. We found the buffet was very busy and there were hardly any tables available, the food was lukewarm and there was not a great choice, lots of empty trays, not a good start.

We had a tour around the ship and found it to be in good condition, with lots of lounges and areas to sit. The library was a disappointment being shared with 3 other offices, Captains Circle, Future Cruises and the Chinese Desk. It was quite a noisy place to be reading, so we retired to our balcony. After a few days we discovered that the Skywalkers lounge, Aft deck 18, was the quietest place as it didnt open til late! We had opted for anytime dining and had a choice of dining venues, and were always given a table for 2 as requested. We found all the crew were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble to them. The only problem with the dining was that people didnt use the hand sanitiser and just walked in, even in the buffet there was a sink with a member of staff there but it didnt seem to be enforced.

The dance troop were very good and put on a couple of excellent shows but the Spanish duo were very poor and the audience reflected it too. Lots of entertainment around the ship depending on what you wanted to listen to, the pianist was very good.We didnt go to any of the game shows as they didnt interest us so cant comment on them.

Phuket

Excursion to James Bond Island. Long drive to reach the boat which was difficult to get into, not suitable for anyone with disabilities. Lovely long boat ride, lots of limestone islands to see. Very scenic. Lunch was on an island, very rushed, did not have time to eat it all. Disappointing that we did not go onto James Bond island, just went around it.
