Friends have been touting the Princess Line to us for several years and we chose it on a whim. The size and old refined elegance of the ship was impressive. The food was outstanding and the service was exemplary. Only negative of the ship was the entertainment; the atrium piano player who sang show tunes, was okay for a while, but he then became overpowering and annoying. Also, we wish there was a venue of performers that sang/performed other types of music, like jazz or blues.
We dined in the DaVinci dining hall and thoroughly enjoyed our waiter Heuerto and assistant waiter, Evalinda. The variety of menu options was good and suggestions from wait staff were on target with our culinary desires.
We did not take any excursions offered by the cruise line but chose to go off and choose our own. The groups were smaller and we could tell tour guide exactly where and what we wished to tour, plus it was less expensive.
Our steward, Martin was very immaculate, helpful and saw to our every need. The condition of the cabin was very good. In celebration of our anniversary, he designed a beautiful creation of two swans on a bed of rose petals. He made our cruise most enjoyable.
