Cabin: Deluxe Veranda 1C

We stayed onboard for a second cruise on the Silhouette. See our review of the Feb 10, 2019 cruise that we posted.

Most of what we commented on there applied.

It was the very first time we've been on back-to-back cruises. We liked the fact that the itinerary was completely different, and there was no overlap of ports of call.

Port Reviews

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

Our disembarkation from the first cruise and embarkation to the second cruise was very quick, smooth, and efficient. Since we stayed in the same cabin, all we needed to take with us when we left the ship after Cruise 1, was our passports and our cruise documents.

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

We went to a lovely beach. We had to be taken by tender to the port, where we got a taxi to take us to the beach.

Aruba

We went to the beach -- it is a lovely beach.

Curacao

We did a walking tour of Willemstaat, we've been here many times previously.

Bonaire

We didn't take a ship excursion, but hired a private vehicle to show us the southern part of the island. It was awful. Driving in an open truck, with very high winds constantly. Not much to see other than the salt fields, and former slave huts.

Waste of time and money -- but that wasn't the ship's fault at all.
