Our cruise was from Feb 17th to Feb 24th, 2019 aboard the Norwegian Getaway. Overall, we had a decent time, the food was excellent and the service was great. The specialty restaurants did not disappoint and the servers were quite worthy of extra tipping such as Colin at La Cucinia and Babusi at Cagney’s.

However, there were some aspects of this cruise which were disappointing.

First and foremost was the Cigar Lounge on Deck 8 beside the Sunset Bar. The smell permeating from that room and the smoking at the outside part of the Sunset Bar was nauseating. That cigar smell spread mostly on Deck 8 both ways but you could also smell it on Deck 7 when transiting the casino. Read more
