We flew to Baltra from Quito and landed at 9 am. We were met from the plane and put in a private waiting area where we were given soft drinks and snacks. We then realised there were only a handful of us waiting. We were told after two hours the main plane load had been delayed and wouldn’t arrive till late afternoon. We were in effect trapped in an airport lounge.

We understood the ship was anchored there. Eventually, at about 11.30 we all begged to at least go and wait on the ship. We were then taken to the ship for lunch and a delightful zodiac trip. Read more
