Our first cruise with P&O. Embarkation/disembarkation fast and efficient. Loved the ship, nicely done out, staff lovely. We had an adapted cabin, C301, which was really nice. Quite spacious. No problems with the food in the horizon buffet. Meridian and Peninsular restaurants were ok, nothing special, just ok. Epicurean restaurant was fine, good service. Maybe not worth the £28 each. Plenty of sun loungers, never had a problem getting them but didn't like how close together they are. You cant walk between them so have to sit on the end and shuffle yourself backwards. Didn't like sea days, overcrowded and boring and incredibly windy. Brodies bar was good. A couple of quizzes every night. Drinks expensive. Fosters is £4.15 a pint, similar to UK pub prices but bitter at £4.50 a pint is way overpriced. I would think we spent in the region of £100 a day for the two of us for soft drinks, bitter and lager. (no wine, spirits or cocktails) New years eve, just about everyone was up on the lido deck where the band were playing. It was so crowded it was uncomfortable. Almost impossible to get a drink after 10.30 as you couldn't get near the bar and the waiters seemed to have disappeared. Lifts were a bit of an issue, when one eventually turned up, it was usually full up and going the opposite way to where you wanted to go. In the end, when a lift turned up we just got in, whichever way it was going otherwise you'd wait ages. The best ports of call for us were St Kitts, St Lucia, Grenada and Barbados. We didn't do any trips with P&O because they were far too expensive. We got a taxi to the beach instead where 2 loungers and an umbrella was $20. Couldn't go to Antigua because of weather so ended up in Martinique. We didn't particularly like Curacao, Bonaire and Dominica. Would we cruise again? Yes, probably for a week, 2 weeks was too long for us. A weeks cruise and a weeks stay would suit us better but P&O don't do that so it would have to be with another company.

Cabin Review

Cabin adapted

Good spacoius cabin. Very clean. Good sized bathroom. Plenty of hanging/draw space. Very happy with it.
