Unfortunately the ship lets down the rest of the cruise experience.
The ship underwent a refurbishment less than 2 years ago - but you wouldn't know it. The ship in general looks conservative and dated and we were disappointed that it didn't look like it had just been refurbished (maybe it's the use of brown timber?). In fact, it looked in need of a freshening up and a bit of pizazz.
The single level show room with only two access points and lots of stairs, was a big problem. The large number of frail elderly people struggled with all the stairs, and this led to considerable delays for everyone getting in and out of the showroom - the 2-level showrooms on other cruise ships had been so much easier, safer and faster to access and to exit from.
