Interesting destinations. Panama canal, Cartagena, and Limon well worth seeing. Great snorkeling on Grand Cayman. Well organized and executed tours. As usual service on board and embarkation and debarkation very good. Rooms were well appointed and clean. Ship is unique in that it offers and indoor pool and lounge area along with a sauna. There is also a top sun deck with a splash pool. Additional outdoor lounge seating can be found along lower outdoor passageways. Dining and entertainment is top notch. On board activities are well organized and presented.
For those selecting Princess be aware that this cruise line is generally not suitable for children, young adults and young couples. The majority of passengers are elderly (many over 70), white and American. Although the band was excellent and played up-to -date music, most passengers do not participate in dancing. Woe betide the person who does not get up early, especially on at sea days as passengers tend to reserve deck seating despite ship policies to the contrary.
This ship was my favourite in the Princess line as it is somewhat smaller and service and seating is more accessible.
Cabin was well organized and there was enough room to stow all luggage. Steward provided excellent service. Washroom, although small, was very well ventilated, so was not overly steamy unlike other cruises.
No tours available on shore to other destinations unlike other Caribbean ports of call..Not a lot to do in town.
7 mile beach was beautiful and snorkeling was good even off the beach. However, everything on this island is expensive, deck chair rental $10 US, beer $7. Typical port shopping, no bargains except for duty free.
