We've been on 6 previous cruises and this was our first with Royal. First of all every cruise member was friendly and welcoming. Our dinner waiters Jorge and Garamar were the best we've ever had!!! I can't say enough good things about them! There were 6 of us in our group and we all agreed we've never been treated so well. The food was great! There was only one night when I just didn't care for the fish but it was replaced right away!

Breakfast was very good and it is much easier in the dining room than the Wind Jammer. Too crowded in the morning there esp on port days. Lunch was also good in the dining room. The Windjammer food is good too, just too many folks all wanting the same thing. Loved the Washy Washy Ladies! They would stand there every day and see that folks used sanitizer or washing their hands. We had a balcony cabin #7632 and it was very comfortable and quiet. It was not very far to the elevators and library. We enjoyed everything the ship had to offer. Was surprised there wasn't more shopping options onboard as other ships we've been on (Princess and Carnival). We enjoyed the ports of St. Martin, St. Kitts, Labadee, and San Juan. Weather was perfect. Our only complaint was the long, long wait to get off the ship. We were told there were only 3 Customs agents working (also people would not wait until their numbers were called) and that also slowed things up. Wasn't in a hurry to get off the ship but sitting on deck rather than the chilly ice skating rink for a couple of hours would have been better.

Overall loved this cruise and wish I was on another right now!

Cabin Review

Cabin Balcony

Great Cabin. Balcony is smaller than we are used to but it was still very nice.

Port Reviews

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

Be prepared to haggle in the straw market in Labadee. Everyone wants you to come see their wares. St. Martin and St. Kitts have people on the streets everywhere to try and get you to come in to the shops. Just say a polite no if you're not interested. We'd been to San Juan before and love going to the forts.
