We chose this cruise because wanted a smaller ship and a round-trip itinerary. I had been concerned about choosing Canada Place and the Nieuw Amsterdam based on reviews but these concerns were quickly proven wrong.

We entered the Canada Place parking garage at 10:30 and checked our bags. Check-in was very efficient and we were boarding by 11:15! We went to the Lido for a glass of iced tea and 15 minutes later the cabin was ready.

The ship is beautiful and easy to get around. Stairs/elevators are plentiful and it never felt crowded (except trying to find a table in the Lido). The cabin was well-organized and so glad we chose a balcony cabin! We ate one delicious meal in the Pinnacle Grill and split other meals between the Lido and Main Dining Room. We enjoyed room service for breakfast one morning because of an early excursion. Service was impeccable; food was varied, delicious and well-presented (one of us is vegetarian and that was not a problem). Don't stress over dress in the main dining room...it was everything between nice jeans and a button-down to evening wear. Read more
