Native Houstonians, we had never sailed out of Galveston before. Embarkation (and debarkation) were a breeze. This was our first Royal Caribbean cruise and we had some misgivings about the age of the ship. We had a junior suite which was a bit worn, but otherwise just fine. We liked the Promenade concept and overall layout.

What we didn't like (and thus the B-) was that the ship vibrated the entire cruise, except in port, of course. Never experienced this on any cruise before. Distracting.

Food was on average, well, average - with the exception of the Italian specialty restaurant, Giovanni's, which was fantastic. Not that impressed with Chops or Sabor, but then its hard to impress Texans with steak or Mexican food. Only went to the main dining room on lobster night, which was good, but not great. Johnny Rockets was pretty good.

Cabin J3

Room was a very nice size for two people. Great reading chair; decent balcony. A little worn and dated, but just fine.
