Three of us, ages ranging from 42-75, traveled on the Epic for a 5 day cruise (Cozumel and Great Stirrup Cay). We had done our research ahead of time which really paid off! Here are our take aways:

EMBARKATION: Easy but long lines. Lucky for us, we were traveling with someone who was on a knee scooter so we were able to use the elevator and not wait in the line for the escalator. We arrived at 11:30am and were on the ship by 12:45pm.

CABIN: We were in a handicap accessible cabin (8188) which was much bigger than most balcony cabins. There was plenty of storage, drawers, hangers, etc. Definitely bring an adaptor because there are only 2 plugs (one European and one American). Our only issue was with the bathroom. The water did not fully drain after showers so there was still water on the floor in the bathroom which made it difficult for people to use the toilet without getting their feet wet.

Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin MD

8188 is a handicap accessible room, and it was definitely quite a bit bigger than the regular balcony rooms. The bathroom configuration was not like in the regular balcony rooms either (the shower and toilet were in the same room. The sink was out in the main room). The only issue with the bathroom was that when you showered, the entire bathroom floor was wet, including by the toilet. Although there are 2 drains on opposite sides of the bathroom, the floor never totally drained, and we had to use towels to wipe up the floor after a shower. There was plenty of storage, shelves, hangers, etc for 3 people. NOTE: there were only two outlets (one for European plugs and one for American plugs). We brought adaptors.
