This was our 4th Princess Cruise. We chose the cruise for the itinerary. Could not fault embarkation, the time for when cabin was ready. The balcony cabin on Rivereria deck was good. We were disappointed to find there were no wine packages which we had previously purchased on Princess Cruises. We found that the drink packages per couple were extortionate, no way we would drink the amount as required in the costs. It is a pity they do not do a few drink packages to suit customers. We found tha the cost of wines in the dining room to be very expensive, having checked the menus all wines were over priced. I enjoy a drink but was not prepared too pay the costs so mainly stuck to water, sadly.

Also found that the menu in the the dining rooms was not as good as previous cruises and the additional costs for steak etc was not right. I understand what Princess are trying to do but there was always a steak on the favourites menu. I found this time Princess were cutting back on many things and the additional 18% on top was harsh. Will I do Princess again, that I just don’t know and talking to many other passengers who have previously sailed with Princess felt disappointed also. It is a shame to do this review but I have to be honest. Always loved Princess Cruises, but they need to reflect on concerns of passengers and that is costs of everything and packages.

Best place to enjoy a drink was Vines bar, staff fantastic.
