Cabin: Club Deluxe Veranda Stateroom

We returned at the end of last month after a brilliant two weeks on Azamara Pursuit. We chose this trip as we had always wanted to visit the Chilean Fiords and it was on our favourite cruise line.

We found that overall the food was an improvement on previous cruises and compliment the chefs. It was always hot and well presented as well as delicious. Sometimes the portions were over generous but we coped.

Our cabin was a balcony on deck seven which we prefer and it was kept spotless by Louis and his assistant. They were unobtrusive but there whenever you needed anything.

Cabin Review

Club Deluxe Veranda Stateroom

Cabin VX

The cabin was quite compact but sufficient for our needs. There was plenty of storage space. In fact we did not use all of this.

The one issue was the dreaded shower curtain though this seems to have improved slightly from previous trips as the curtain is heavier.

The cabin was always kept spotless by Louis and his assistant who were in twice a day. It was nice to have chocolate treats at night.

Port Reviews

Puerto Montt

Great tour though the volano only peeped out of the cloud for a short while.

Montevideo

We chose just to walk into the city and explore on our own as we had been there a few years earlier.

Punta del Este

Loved this place and had a great time with a local guide. We were even treated to a floor show over lunch followed by our dancing the conga. What a great introduction to the place.

Buenos Aires

This is a good overview of the city. Only problem was that if you got off it was a long wait for the next one and not certainty of getting on especially at the main tourist destinations.

Ushuaia (Tierra del Fuego)

We had been to Ushuaia before so did not want to take any tours. The ship could not allow passengers off until several hours after docking due to high winds so this curtailed any long trips and many excursions were cancelled. Once we were allowed off, we explored parts of the city that we had not previously visited. Had a lovey and very inexpensive coffee on the Main Street.
