First of all—getting onto the cruise went really smooth and quick, that was great. Although, it was very difficult getting off. The crew blocked stairways and hallways so it was very hard to find where you’re supposed to go. I just went with my mother, I wouldn’t say that it’s the type of cruise for that though—you would want to go with more than one person definitely. The ship was very interesting, it was very shiny and purple haha. When I walked through somewhere I thought I was going to bump into a mirror or something, kinda trippy. This is just my opinion, but it was very hard to find your way around if you are using the stairs. The cabin was pretty small, including the bathroom. The beds were comfortable. My only two complaints about the cabin is when you take a shower, water gets all over the floor and everything, and, on the last day of the cruise, at like, four in the morning, they put up the gangway so we could get of the ship. I was on floor 7, and that happened to be the floor where they put the gangway. Since the ship was in the water, there were small waves (duh) and that rocked the boat a little bit. So, when the gangway was up, the ship was banging against it making this god awful sound for HOURS. I couldn’t sleep for the rest of the morning. The food wasn’t that great, but it was edible. The chefs work very hard and I appreciate them very much, but I probably won’t cruise on sensation anymore because of the food. The dining room food was okay as well. The entertainment was pretty good, there was a lot of stuff that didn’t appeal to me, but I think that’s just me. The comedy was my favorite, the comedians were hilarious, especially Percy Crews 2. He was great. The service was good, the crew who cleaned our room was so nice and said hi every time we saw him. He left little towel animals every time he cleaned which I loved. Deon was hilarious and full of energy, he was so great, and the manager of the comedy shows, Andy, was very hilarious and very helpful. The excursions were great, I played bingo and won $250 and a dolphin swim in Cozumel! It was great. I wouldn’t go on carnival sensation again, but maybe one of their other cruise ships.
