We chose this cruise for the itinerary. We stayed in Abudhabi for 3 nights in a hotel prior to boarding the ship. Boarding was chaos because Celebrity had given strict instruction that we needed to take 4 copies of our visas and 2 copies of our passport information. On arrival we were instructed to give a copy of our passport information to embarcation team and not our passport. The embarcation team promptly demanded our passports as they make their own copies and told us they did not require ours. We then proceeded to the check in desk where we were asked for our celebrity express pass. We informed them that we were not able to check in on their web site. We were then told don't worry most people have not been able to access our website so we stated from scratch. We finally boarded the ship and go to guest relations to give them the 4 copies of the India visas which were required. We were subsequently told that they only needed 1. The question that should be asked of Celebrity with over 2000 paasengers making all these photocopies half a rain forest would have been destroyed by making these unnecessary copies. The staff as always are brillant and special thanks to Surya Sunset bar and Chris The Sky lounge deck 11. PLEASE NOTE Celebrity double charge both myself and my husband's cards for almost $400 which meant we had to claim the money back via our banks. A lot of hassle to deal with when you get home!. Disembarkation was an absolute nightmare. We needed to leave the ship.at 4am we were told we couldn't as first disembarkation was at 6am. We were also told they would not have our passports back from Abu Dhabi immigation. We were given a letter and told to attend Alpha room at 2:15 on the 17 March as this was for guests leaving late 17. Upon arrival we were told this was only for guests leaving on the 17 and not for early leavers on the 18 and to go back to Guest relations. Guest relations final seem to understand we needed to leave the ship at 4am and we were to collect our passports after 9pm. On attending Guest relation at 9pm we were told they were not available until 3am. They finally registered our early morning call after 4 attempts. We were then informed that no porterage would be available at 4am so we had to drag our luggage off ourselves. The final slap in the face was when reaching the gangway we were told were not on list for disembarkation and they needed to call reception. After contacting Guest relation asking for clearance to allows to leave. The security confiscated our sea card passes and said because they had no facility the would check us out at 6am

We felt the excursions were a con and expensive.

We have sailed with several different cruise lines and we both came to the same decision that we would NEVER cruise with Celebrity again.

Cabin Review

Ocean View 7

Cabin 07

Ram our stateroom attendant was 5 stars. The cabin itself was very tight. We were unable to open the draws to the bedside cabinets when the beds were made due to the tightness of the cabin. The orange net were hanging down unattached and could not be attached to anything. The settee by the picture window would have been better served by a chair because unless you were 2 very small people you could have never sat on it together.
