Cabin Review

Cabin Superior balcony stateroom

The cabin was comfortable although small. There was barely room to fit between the end of the bed and the cabin wall. However the bed was large and very comfortable indeed with good linen and plenty of pillows. The linen was changed regularly. There were plenty of clean fluffy towels changed at least twice a day. There was a more than ample supply of Hermes toiletries and soap. The bathroom had a shower and a bath. The bar fridge was kept well stocked with complimentary alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. There was no kettle for boiling water and there was no coffee machine. There was one small, fairly uncomfortable easy chair in one corner. There was also a padded stool suitable for sitting at a table and writing. The balcony had a table and two chairs. It was very small but adequate. The sliding door could be locked partly open as well as locked shut. The entrance passageway was very narrow which meant a clash between the bathroom door and the wardrobe doors from time to time. There was plenty of storage and hanging space and hangers. The cases fitted under the bed. The cabin attendant was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. The cabin was kept spotlessly clean. The cabin was turned down each night and either biscuits or chocolate were left for us. Hot drinks were available from the bar or through room service which was 24/7. We had no issues with the toilet system although other peopled had trouble with it backing up. The toilet was separate from the bath and shower but its room was very small. There were plenty of mirrors, bench space and there was a hairdryer. Our cabin could be joined with one next door to make a suite. The door between them was locked but unfortunately there was a hole in the door and the wind whistled through. This did not concern us as there was no one on either side of us.
