Last year as we were planning our cruise we were unsure about which cruise line/ship to choose. A friend told me about this new ship that Norwegian was sailing with a go cart track and laser tag. I started my research and was interested in so much more than go carts and lasers. I was impressed by the entertainment options, dining choices, and most importantly the itinerary offered. We made the decision to go ahead and book a week on the Bliss.

There were a lot of mixed reviews about the early trips on the Bliss with the biggest concern around over crowding in common areas and long lines in the buffet. I found this to be a complete non issue during our trip. It’s really all about timing your activities. We really felt crowded in the dining room only once when we got a late start on the day and hit breakfast at 9:30am. Other days we were there about 8:30am with zero issues. The dining room staff were very friendly and helpful. We were offered the specialty dining package for 3 nights as part of our booking and we thoroughly enjoyed those nights. We ate at Cagney’s, Le Bistro (Favorite), and Teppenyaki.

The entertainment was also a lot of fun with the Jersey Boys performance, Havana, and the Beatles band. The thing that initially got my attention for the Bliss ended up disappointing a bit. The Go Carts were fun, but the rules weren’t initially made clear and we ended up missing our time slot we paid for. It was also a lengthy process getting checked in, in the car, and around the track. The laser tag was also fun, but not particularly thrilling.

Balcony Stateroom

Cabin BF

Cabin was typical of others I have stayed in. Mid ship on starboard location was really nice. Nice sized bathroom and shower.
