We chose this cruise for the itinerary. We were tired of the same ports visited by the big cruise ships and wanted to explore other islands, particularly Montserrat. We were not disappointed. While we did visit Antigua and Barbados, which are visited by the large ships, we also explored other islands and different ports. Anguilla, Montserrat, Dominica, St Lucia and Grenada were also stops.
Neither of us are "foodies" but the food was incredible. All meals were very well done. The crew was so friendly and helpful and the officers were very accessible. Each night at 6:30 the Destination officer gave a presentation on the next port that was very insightful. All of the wait staff were versatile and did a great job of learning your name and room number. Anything you needed they could assist with.
The ship is smaller obviously and rough seas had an effect but we experienced no big problems. There is some age on the boat but it was very clean and well maintained. There is not much entertainment but we were not seeking full shows. We met so many nice people on the boat too.
Great size. Great view with the step out balcony. The rooms were quiet and clean. Full size bathtub. There were signs of age in the bathroom such as re-caulking but it was very clean and nothing to be disturbed at. The fridge was cold.
We have previously been to St. Maarten and went straight to the boat after we landed. There was a gap between embarkation and when we arrived so we grabbed a cab for $3 per passenger and went to town. We had a few drinks along the beach and returned to the port.
We were only in port for five hours so we booked a walking tour through the ship. Our guide Gordon was amazing.
This is a small island that has suffered great devastation. We booked a tour with Sun Montserrat tours. He was highly recommended and did not disappoint. We went in to see the buried city and it was so sad but a must see. We saw most of the island too and had a great lunch in the port.
This is a beautiful island. Great beaches and waters. We booked a tour through Calypso tours and the boat ride was awesome. Capt. Vince did a great job and were very knowledgeable. I would recommend them and will use them when we return.
We have been to St; Lucia a few times so this was a "break" day for us. Windstar set uo a beach party and we made it a beach day. Lots of food and drink. The water was great and the Steel Drum Band gave it a real tropical feel.
