We chose this cruise as we wanted to combine a trip to visit family in Brazil with a trial of a transatlantic sailing as this was something new to us. We have sailed many times with Azamara and this was the second trip on the Pursuit.

Embarkation was easy and as usual we were greeted on board by friendly faces and a glass of something sparkling. Our cabin was a veranda stateroom on deck 6, just above the Mosaic Cafe, so a great location as it was so convenient for the facilities on deck 5 and only three flights of stairs from the pool deck and buffet. We know the cabins are small on Azamara but ours was perfectly adequate for our needs and we were very looked after by our stewards. The ship was immaculate as we have come to expect from previous cruises.

The service was impeccable throughout the cruise. We ate in all venues at some point and the food delicious as always. We love to have our evening meal outside behind the Windows cafe when the weather is warm.

Club Veranda Stateroom

Cabin V2

A standard Azamara cabin so a little on the small side but very well-maintained by our stewards. Great location.

Port Reviews

Rio de Janeiro

We only boarded in Rio so were not in a position to take a ship's excursion. Our time there was spent with family but as we have been before we did not visit the main attractions.

Agadir

I took a ship's tour but didn't really find Agadir as having a lot to offer, although the guide was very interesting in his explanation of the culture of the country. We were left at the Souk for an hour at the end of the tour which was way too long in my opinion.

Casablanca

Nothing much going on here and sadly the place is pretty run down. However, I went on an excursion to Rabat which was a much nicer place and the excursion took us to interesting venues and also we had a talk by a local academic which was something different and very informative.
